# Feral Self > Life and mindset coaching based in Asheville, NC. Johann works with people navigating religious trauma, coming out, queer identity, masculinity, relationships, polyamory, and major life transitions. In-person, walk-and-talk, and workshop formats. ## About Johann is a queer, bisexual coach who grew up in South Africa inside a Christian Nationalist community, spent two decades in software engineering, and has been coaching people — formally and informally — his entire adult life. He works with people done pretending the life they're living is the one they actually want. Specialty areas: religious trauma recovery, coming out (queer people of all genders), unlearning toxic masculinity, navigating queer identity, polyamory and relationship transitions, life transitions (divorce, immigration, career change). ## Services **1:1 Coaching Sessions** — One-on-one sessions focused on whatever the client is navigating. No fixed curriculum. The work follows what's actually happening. Sessions are typically 60 minutes, in-person in Asheville or via video. **Walk-and-Talk Sessions** — Coaching while walking WNC trails. The movement is part of the work — it loosens things that sitting in a room doesn't. Available on trails around Asheville. More at https://feralself.com/walk-and-talk/ **Workshops and Brainstorming Sessions** — Small group or couples sessions for specific questions: relationship structures, identity, major decisions.
